Carlos Quintana

Carlos Quintana (Havana, 1966) is one of the most representative names of Cuban visual arts, inside and outside the boundaries of the Island. Quintana graduated from the Institute of Design, but he has succeeded in getting a place among many greatly esteemed figures emerged from the Academy. His poetry goes to human issues in a front way, without taboos or whims, formulating the interest in placing certain themes on the artistic scene, such as the religious universe that surrounds us and cooks this melting pot that summons us. His work has been presented in all and each one of the important events of the artistic scene of the country, and it has deserved numerous applauses coming from different generations. Thus the facts and the literature accompanying them, this artist (as few) has set undisputed guidelines in our cultural landscape.
