  • De ahí que la pintura de Moisés Finalé parezca una tenaz reverencia para la cultura occidental, que simula sin embargo la transparencia y el primitivismo sabio del arte naíf. Cuando en otros artistas esa operación redunda en el cinismo decadente o el exotismo deplorable, en Moisés alcanza una dimensión plástica y una experiencia estética monumentales, no solo por la envergadura de los formatos.

This picture is one of the many canvasses that Finalé painted for the highly acclaimed exhibit Al lado del camino presented at La Acacia art gallery in the spring of 2013.

[…] Science is the most fruitful of freedoms; the rigor, the one of art itself in its conversion of the precise into the vague or ambiguous, of the concrete into the multiple, of the demonstrable into the inferable, of the exact into the emotional.

It is for that reason that Moisés Finalé’s painting may seem a tenacious reverence to western culture, which however simulates the transparence and the wise primitivism of naïf art. While in other artists that operation results in decadent cynicism or deplorable exoticism, in Moisés it attains monumental visual dimension and aesthetic experience, not only because of the magnitude of the formats […].1
