The green that permeates a work such as For Sale filters in front of our eyes a breath of hope, of peace amidst the chaos and desolation; it is a kind of poetry of the rural, of those spaces that exist on the outskirts of the social modernization processes, those spaces outside time, suspended in a non-progressive, non-lineal, eternal time. It is simply the footprint a man has left on the natural landscape, and the crumbling of those peasant huts serve also as metaphors of the feebleness that life is in its inevitable process of decomposition through the relentless passage of time: the decomposition of the footprint, the silent pull of the earth that attracts all matter onto its realm…
