The last embrace? The first one in years? The series Sad Diamonds addresses the emotions caused by distance, nostalgia and reunion. The works are based in photography. The images and places that I select reconstruct the past, present and analyze the pre-conditioned future. Perhaps it is a frozen moment? Spaces without spaces. To leave or to return? A sequence of events that construct a cinematographic plot to speak about our island’s history, telling of people who return to the island and have touching encounters with their relatives after years of absence.
